EAGLE COURT OF HONOR

Sat. May 22, 2010, we held Hunter's Eagle Court of Honor. It turned out great. Steven had a vision of having flags surrounding the entire room, which looked awesome. We appreciate all the support of friends and family that came out to see Hunter. Here is a "few" pictures of the event.

Rag Quilt

So, here is a close up view. I haven't acutally tried to play any of the music yet, however, I just love how it turned out. The backing is ivory chenille, and it is the softest, fluffiest stuff I've seen. It washed up gorgeous!!

Here is the full view. I love it!

FABRIC!!

Right now, I am loving 'SEW' many cute fabrics out there. Check out Moda Fabrics. They have a great selection online. Here are a few of my favorites: Make Life, Frolic, Oz, Martinique, Eden. Two new ones coming out are Pure, and Bliss. It makes me want to redo one of my rooms in new fabric way too often. My scrapbook store started carrying these fabrics...dangerous! I signed up for a beginning quilt class for June. I'm making my 1st quilt out of Make Life fabric. What a wonderful way to start summer. My children are going swimming, I'm going quilting. I love it.

I am finishing my Rag Quilt and will post pictures when it's completed. I made it for a R.S. class I'm teaching.

Orange Blossoms!

Orange blossoms (any citrus for that matter) are truly one of the BEST smells on earth. They are delicious and intoxicating. I love to drive down McKellips, through the orange groves and roll down the windows (one of the only exceptions for rolling down the windows) and INHALE the largest breaths possible, again and again, and again. Aaaahhhhhh! A little bit of Heaven right here on earth.

The 2-wheeler

During spring break we went to the bike/skate park 3 times. Davis has gotten quite brave, and now thinks that Bracken's bike is better than his, cause it is faster. He figured out that he can just start by the curb then he can get up and started on the bike all by himself. (as you can see it is a little tall for him, but that is not a concern)
He rode aound the park at first, then he got brave enough to go down in the bowl, and practiced riding up and down the little "hills". He had a total blast!
Finally he learned to ride up this flat pyramid type shape in the bowl, and that was the greatest accomplishment.

Easter Pails

This is my favorite new fabric line by Moda, It is called Make Life. I saw this little pattern for these Easter Pails, using this fabric, and purchased it online. They turned out so cute. My children were VERY concerned that they were going to be their Easter baskets, and informed me that they didn't want to use them. (WAY too SMALL, no room for CANDY!!) I informed them, it was just a cute little project, maybe a cute little V.T. idea, IF you can stand to give them away. Don't think that will happen with these. I actually thought I read the dimensions, and that they would be LARGER, but, little is always CUTE!! Happy EASTer!
